Substrate wetting agents modify the static surface tension profile of fluids, thus impacting the rate of coverage and the final coverage ratio of the fluid. Process dynamics and the character of the surface being printed on call for quite a specific set of surface active wetting agents. To prevent the formulators from going through a pitfall of testing numerous substrate wetters, the selection had been narrowed down to a handful of additives to address the needs of all ink technologies met in the inkjet space, selected according to the most important criteria in the industry: functionality, health and safety, and compliance to relevant regulatory regulations.

Beside a basic introduction of automotive OEM coatings and certain coating layers, optimum products are recommended.
