From Theory to Reality - @Evonik Trainee Day at the Goldschmidt Site! 💡

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the Evonik trainees to our Goldschmidt site for a hands-on look at how our products bring real value to the world of coatings and inks.

Our @Evonik Coating Additives experts are passionate about what they do and always love to share their knowledge and how our additives shape the performance of modern coatings and inks. In the lab they demonstrated how our solutions make coatings resistant to heat, moisture, corrosion, and other influences.

A real highlight: the trainees could experience for themselves how our additives keep wall paints foam-free, smooth, and easy to apply. Seeing the difference firsthand really brings the technology to life!

The group also visited our colleagues in the Care Solutions lab and rounded off the day with a tour through the warehouse - getting a full picture of how innovation, formulation, and logistics come together at Goldschmidt.

All in all, an inspiring and successful day full of insights, curiosity, and great conversations.

New TEGO® Powder Aid G01 for re-defining powder coating performance!

Powder coatings are gaining momentum as a sustainable solution, thanks to its solvent-free and near-zero VOC emissions. However, challenges such as surface pinholes and yellowing caused by traditional degassing agents have limited premium finishes.

Over the years, benzoin has been used as the degassing agent due to its cost advantage. But under excessive baking or UV exposure, benzoin can cause irreversible yellowing, especially in light-colored coatings - impacting both aesthetics and durability. In demanding processes like high film thickness applications, its efficiency also falls short.
